Required:
A high school diploma or GED.
Good basic math.
Ability to read, understand and transcribe pharmaceutical information
Good verbal and written communication skills (english).
Keyboarding skills.
Work experience or academic training in a technical program.
Working knowledge of current drug forms, dosage strengths, and generic & trade name, and traditional equivalents.
Knowledge of Federal & State laws/regulations regarding the provision of pharmaceutical services.
Ability to learn.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent bending/stooping/lifting or reaching.
Ability to effectively present information.
Desirable:
pharmacy technician experience
registration with the State Board of Pharmacy
Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
Knowledge of current hospital and departmental standards for the handling of pharmaceuticals
Completion Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program
Ability to operate pharmacy computer system and other equipment.
